The Independence Day was celebrated at Poddar International College on 15th August 2026 with great enthusiasm, pride, and patriotic spirit.
The programme commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony, conducted by our Honorable Chairman, Dr. Anand Poddar Sir, Assistant director Yashas Poddar sir and Sargam Poddar Mam. The flag-hoisting marked the beginning of the celebrations and created a proud and patriotic atmosphere across the campus. Chairman sir addressed the students about the responsibility toward Independent Nation for viksit Bharat.
The celebration then continued in the college auditorium, where students presented a vibrant series of patriotic performances. The programme included solo and group dance, performances, patriotic presentations, and a meaningful skit based on the sacrifices of India's freedom fighters. The performances beautifully reflected the students' love for the nation and reminded everyone of the courage, dedication, and sacrifices of those who contributed to India's freedom. The energetic performances and enthusiastic participation of the students made the celebration lively and engaging.
Following the performances, Prof. Praveen Goswami, Principal, addressed the gathering and shared his inspiring thoughts on the significance of Independence Day. He also added a special touch to the celebration by singing a patriotic song, which was warmly appreciated by everyone present.
Thereafter, Prof. Meenu Mangal, Vice Principal, shared her thoughts on independence, patriotism, and our responsibility towards the nation.
Event coordinator and NSS program officer Dr. Shilpika Tewari expressed their views by a beautiful patriotic poetry, Her words further added meaning to the celebration and encouraged students to value the freedom they enjoy today. NSS program officer Dr. Vinod Kumar Jain expressed their patriotic feeling by beautiful patriotic song.
The programme concluded on a beautiful patriotic note, with teachers and faculty members holding the National Flag in their hands. The entire atmosphere was filled with a strong sense of patriotism, unity, pride, and love for the nation.
